MCCer Harleigh Barham has been awarded a Mississippi Nurses Foundation Scholarship, a $1,000 honorarium recognizing her demonstrated skills and commitment to making a difference in patients' lives.
Outstanding Meridian Community College students' academic and athletic achievements shone as they were spotlighted in the College's annual Awards Program.
Even though Tre'Von Ruffin graduated as valedictorian, he didn't enjoy school. "I don't have a passion for it; I’d just rather work," he said. "My mom said just do a trade, and you can go straight to work, and I said I'll do just that."
Learning is a lifelong passion for Jerome Rackley, second-year Media Production Technology student. "I'm a better student at 54 than I was at 21. I've even made the President's List," he admits.
